Solid Geometry is the geometry of three-dimensional space, the kind of space we live in.

Plane Geometry is all about shapes on a flat surface (like on an endless piece of paper).

Point; A Point has no dimensions, only position Line; A Line is one-dimensional Plane; A Plane is two dimensional (2D) Solid; A Solid is three-dimensional (3D)

A triangle has three sides and three angles. The three angles always add to 180°.

Three equal sides. Three equal angles, always 60°

Isosceles Triangle Two equal sides Two equal angles

Scalene Triangle No equal sides No equal angles

Acute Triangle All angles are less than 90°

Right Triangle Has a right angle (90°)

Obtuse Triangle Has an angle more than 90°

Right-Angled Triangles A right-angled triangle (also called a right triangle) is a triangle with a right angle (90°) in it.

Two Types There are two types of right angled triangle:

Isosceles right angled triangle

One right angle Two other equal angles always of 45° Two equal sides

Scalene right-angled triangle

One right angle Two other unequal angles No equal sides
